From the Columbus Dispatch:

"Originally, there was the doom-and-gloom thinking -- 'Oh, my God, all these people are carrying guns' -- and I can't recall any incidents."

On the other hand, neither does Martin recall any incident locally in which a concealed-carry permit holder prevented a crime or captured a criminal.

The Dispatch has long been an anti-leaning paper, not quite as bad as some, but I'm honestly surprised that they treated the subject this objectively. Of course, they get the usual "Mayhem in the Streets" comment from OCAGV.

That was in Sunday's on CHL renewals, correct?

I was actually surprised, in the wake of the gun violence that has plagued the nation for the last 2 weeks or so that the Dispatch hasn;t had more to say.

I could have missed something, I just read the editorials and opinions section. Usually get my news elsewhere since I can't stand the dispatch.

Maybe the CD knows they're on the wrong side of the issue.

Hasn't stopped 'em yet.....

Yes, it was in the Sunday paper. Truthfully, the only reason I get the Dispatch is for the Comics section, and the occasional Joe Blundo column. Oh, and the monthly Vance's ad!
