Ok, got my XD-40 mags for my XD-9...

Very tight...

If you got the Springfield branded mags, the spring is pretty tight until you've used the mags a couple of times. Until then, you may have to tap the bottom of the mag on a firm surface after inserting each cartridge in order to get the last few rounds in.

Ditto...The spring was real tight until about the 3 or 4th reload.

even my factory 10rnd'rs were near impossible to load the first few times... it would get pretty stiff after the first 5 were loaded.
