Had been thinking for some time about a Ruger Bisley Vaquero (357mag) for my first single action revolver. So now I have it, and it shoots 2-3 inches left at 10 yards.

What is the approved solution? Just live with it and compensate with the sight picture? Or can fixed sights be adjusted laterally?

I have read some adjustment is possible by rotating the barrel. I am not ashamed to tinker a bit with my firearms, but would not try this unless it is a commonly applied fix and then after trying various ammunition loads. I have a cloth strap oil filter wrench which would probably get a good grip on the barrel without leaving marks.

Thanks.

To adjust windage on a fixed sight,if the barrel is straight, don't try to rotate it.
You can put a slight bend in the front sight, but it will look "off" and you may twist it off the barrel.
The correct way is to either use "Kentucky windage" or to file the side of the sight notch to move the point of aim in the direction needed. In this case, file the right side of the notch to bring the front sight to the right.

Thanks. I may do that after watching it for awhile and trying different loads. I got my SA MilSpec 1911 (which was 6 inches low at 15 yd out of the box) right to where I want it by gradually working the front sight down..
