After milling over my possessions a few months back, I realized that my material goods were lacking in a major way. They didn't include an AR15 variant of any sort. Well, at the time the prices on AR's were just not where I wanted them, so I waited for the time to pounce.
That time has now come, so I did some looking around. I considered getting a CMMG of some sort, but after some research I decided that a S&W M&P15X was what I wanted. I found one online new for $899 and jumped on it.....
...But, as you folks most likely know, everything comes with a catch. My terrible little devil that takes residence on my shoulder talked me into looking at accessories. After some browsing, that evil little fella made me buy a bunch of tacticool doo-dads. I tried to resist but he just kept saying "why not go all out on your first..." "you know you want those fun doo-dads" and I caved in.
EDIT: I thought it might be a good idea to do a quick edit to emphasize my sarcasm in the above paragraph. I enjoy doo-dads, gizmos and gadgits of all sorts. I put all the stuff I wanted on there to have a nice setup for a great around the house and fun at the range rifle. It's going to be great for the wife too. She's great with a long gun, but not quite up to par with the handguns yet. Though she's never shot the "intimidating military black rifle" (as she referred to it), I'm sure she will be obsessed with it once she shoots it (as with most of my guns). I want her to have something she can learn quick, and have around when I'm not home.
So here is the product.

S&W M&P15X
W/
* Eotech 510
* Tangodown Battle Grip
* Solarforce L2 w/ pressure switch and mount (whole light setup from THR member Jimdo for a great price. Check out his lights if you haven't yet. Great guy and great lights.)
* And some Magpul Rail Covers
Sorry, just had to show it off. The wife loves guns, but she doesn't get the awesomeness of a man's first AR.
