I've been on a hardcore revolver revival lately.

I have a

S&W 629
Taurus 66
S&W .38 S&W victory model
2 Nagants circa 1941
H&R .38 S&W
S&W 625-6 .45acp
S&W .38 special +p airlite

I'm itching for more, any suggestions before I blow my money on something dumb?
 
I'm with P95, a N-frame Smith. If not a LNIB model 27;
then about a 1955 Target Model .45 ACP (model 25)?

One revolver that is highly desirable (and collectable) is
the .22 LR caliber, 3" barrel old model Colt Cobra.
I haven't seen one in quite a few years, as fisherman
use to snatch them up for a tackle-box handgun.

I had a guy offer me a Great western .22 for $450.

It was the heaviest single action .22 I've ever held.

It was patterned after colt SAA made in the 50's
anyone heard of these?
 
The .22 revo is a great suggestion. I might also suggest a Ruger Security or Speed Six. They're at bargain basement prices right now. BIG bang for the buck IMHO.

I have a 2 3/4" Blued Security Six on the way that I bought for $190 on gunbroker.com.

Diamondbacks are nice, too, but I think market values have caught up with them.
 
Hmm, what are you missing? How about a .41mag or .45LC? Hmm, only one .357mag? You really need an L-frame or Ruger GP100, an N-frame would be nice too. If you have a carry permit you've got to get a 3" K-frame .38 or .357. A .22lr is a good suggestion as well.

I see those two Russian Nagants on your list. When I bought my Nagant revolver, my very next purchase was a Ruger Single Six in .32H&R magnum, aka Vaquerito.

You won't be disappointed.

Then you can lock your desires on a new Marlin model 1894CB32 which are coming out sometime around May. photo below:

I have an Uberti Single action in my range bag it has the .45 colt/.45acp interchangeable cylinders. Really nice shooter for the money.
 
No 357, Man you need one of these they will rip a mans arm off if you shoot him in the pinkie:D, body shots will spin him around :what: like a John Woo movie:D :D

I'd go with the 625 in 45 ACP. Get some moon clips and you can really load fast.

The suggestion for a K-22 is very good advice. Been hearing the praises of the S&W model 17 and 18 for quite a while. Been looking for a 17-3 or earlier for about 6 months now.

Whatever you get, keep everyone posted and tell us how it shoots.

Considering what you've already got.

How about a .41mag or .44mag? Everyone needs atleast one "big" bore.

I've got a 625-6 .45acp and a 629 .44mag

Looked at a S&W 500 mag yesterday it had all the options for $1249
Seemed a little high.

And on the other end of the spectrum from the 500S&W...is the S&W617.

I agree that a good .22 revolver (my preference would be S&W), a 3" RB K-frame carry revo (10, 13, 65, 64), or a Highway Patrolman (M28). Pick up whatever you can get the best deal on at the show.
 
I'd look for a really nice older S&W 27 or pre-27 .357 Magnum, or an older Python. Hard to beat a nice, big-framed .357 from back in the day when they made them extra-pretty. :D
 
I agree with the Colt Python or the S&W Model 27, those would be high on my look list. Older N frames S&W are good guns too ( pinned and recessed ) I like 41 mag but its not the only choice. Other honorable mentions are a Colt Trooper, Colt Detective Special, S&W Models 10, 13, 19, 21, 25 and the Combat masterpieces. I also like the Colt new service DA .455 Eley, and I figure everyone should own at least one Colt SAA. I don't think you will have any heartburn with any of these if you find one at the right price and in good condition.
 
NO Enfields or Webleys!? You need a world vision. Find a few French pinfires, most are cheap as nobody knows what they are. I would look for a couple more S&Ws, a lemon squeezer in 32, a Model 30 and a Model 28. I have a Colt Trooper MKIII in 357 Magnum, great revolver! I strongly suggest a Ruger SBH in 44 Magnum too. The problem with Great Western SA revolvers is that many were kits. Quality depended on the kit builder. I wouldn't go more than $300.00 for a Great Western revolver period. A cool 22 that hasn't been mentioned is the H&R 923.
