How is this for a battery of revolvers
35-1 which I might have one charge hole reamed to 22mag
942, get a 442 or 642 and a set of 9mm barrel and cylinder from S&W and make it
60-4 38 spec 3†adjustable sights
1950 K38 6†38 special target gun
13-4 3†just bobbed the hammer
65-5 3†with a 4†pencil barrel intalled, round butt and pencil barrel with moonclips, should be a great woods gun,
586-1 4†that has been half lugged and moonclipped
38-44 Heavy Duty converted to either 45 colt or 44 spec.

What else would I need to cover all revolver bases
Not really into SA but would like a Ruger SBH Hunter in 45 colt.

Might get a new Ruger Vaquaro in 45 colt with the new release of the small frame.

I do not really care for the 43 S&W Mag

"Whats do you think I have missed?"

Maybe the most eloquent revolver of all time....Python. Then maybe the detective special, a symbol of LEO, and why did you forget the Colt Single Action Army?
The SAA is the history of the west when it comes to revolvers.

I'll second the Colt SAA, Python, and Detective Special nominations. And add Colt Magnum Carry, S&W 642, S&W 696, 586, 686.

Also, Ruger GP-100 3". Ruger GP-100 4", Ruger SP-101 3".

That's just a start. You got a long ways to go pard! ;)

Yep, that's a fine selection of Smiths, but your battery needs some Colts and Rugers. Even a Taurus or two. It's all about spreading the love.

Also, where's your .44 Magnum? Unless that's what this was referring to:

I do not really care for the 43 S&W Mag

This morning, I went out to the mailbox -- that's a 3/4 mile walk, and I went through the woods. I buckled on my Colt Officer's Model Target (that hangs on the newel post) and about a quarter mile from the house, a gray squirrel posed for me at about 15 yards. Squirrel for lunch. :)

I also have the Colt Detective Special and SAA (mine is 2nd generation, in .357) and a Colt Model 357 (precursor to the Python.)

The Colt New Service in .45 Colt is a great revolver -- mine was made in 1906 and refinished, so I wasn't bashful about soldering on a new front sight and milling out the rear sight to make a real shooter out of it.

And everyone should have a Model 1911 -- I have three. My carry gun is a Kimber. My M1927 Argentine wears a Colt Service Ace conversion kit these days, and my home-built Fed Ord wears a Ciener kit.

And don't short the Ruger Standard Model Automatic -- mine is a MKII with the 4 3/8" barrel and has accounted for many a squirrel and rabbit.

That is just what I have as my list right now. I would like to add eventually
Ruger SP101 3"
Ruger NM 50 anniversary small frame Vaquero in 45 colt
maybe a Speed six 3"
Do not like taurus or the 43 mag, aka .429 dia 44mag

I might swap or trade the Heavy Duty for an early mod 58 in 41 mag
a nice 4" 25 or 625 would be fun.

OBTW I have a few autos, but they are not my thing.
1953 Sistema colt 1911
Ruger MkII slabside competition mod
Glock 19 but would like to find a 1st gen 17

How about a Ruger GP100 w/6" barrel and a S&W M28 with either a 4" or a 6" barrel? Of course you could get a M27 5" or perhaps a M27 with the 8 3/8" barrel.

Well, I see some deficiencies.
The first is the lack of a 57/58.
Then a 29/629 5" or an older 627 5 1/2" with 6 holes, not 8.
I figured Tamara would be along to show you the 20 or so you can't live without.

"35-1 which I might have one charge hole reamed to 22mag"

Yeah, you can do that with any strong 22LR revolver...if the cylinder is long enough of course.

You open up one cylinder bore for the 22Magnum, which can shoot through the same barrel but has a fatter (as well as longer) shell.

That way, you can do most of the gun's shooting in cheap 22LR but if you need 22Mag power for something the size of a coyote or whatever, you've got that on tap. One shot's worth of course.

It's a good recipe for a "farm, woods and close range varmint" sidearm. Some do this to Ruger Single Six 22LR cylinders, set one round up for 22Mag.
