OK, so I am a caliber odd-ball.....

Let's see....
577/450 Henry
310 Cadet
455 Webley
22 Savage Hi-Power
256 Winchester Magnum
14 Ga Greener
310 Cattle Killer
7.62 Nagant

The Swede is also my favorite deer cartridge, .257 Roberts a close second.

Favorite handgun... Colt Police Positive in .38 S&W.

Not "odd" to me

My favorite rifle is my .257R I picked it about 40 years ago and have never regretted the choice. My favorite Varmint Rifle is my Sako L461 heavy barrel Vixen in .222. Mainstream handguns, but I miss my .41 Mag.

I own .223, 7mm Mag, .308, and have a 6.5X.284 "under construction".

I tend to be pretty traditional in the caliber department. My less common calibers that I like are 41 mag and 480 Ruger in revolves. I like the 35 Whelen for a deer rifle, but don't own one.

I like the 22 Mag and as far as I'm concerned the 17 HMR has pretty much peaked and the old faithful 22 Mag is catching up.

8mm Mauser is a great cartidge. I prefer my Brno Mauser over my Remington 1903A3.

My only other real odd ball is a .32-20 Colt revolver. Just fun to shoot.

I can't really run up front in this pack, but I'll try to make the starting grid:

--10mm
--.41 Mag
--.45LC
Wife has a .17HMR.
As I say, nothing too far off the beaten path, but none of them are main stream.

i have moved to mainstream. sold all my non mainstream stuff except a orig 32-40 hiwall and my 6.5x55.do have a couple 16 ga guns roun here tho.they do come in handy.

R.I.P.

9x23 Winchester - Close in dimension to the .38 Super, but on steroids! It’ll launch a 125gr. Bullet at .357Mag velocity in a straight wall case. Reloads without lubing like a .357Sig bottleneck case and being smaller in size gives it a higher capacity in current platforms. The strongly designed case will safely withstand 50,000 psi, but it requires a small rifle primer due to the pressure.

It’s my concealed carry caliber. Sadly, a great caliber that met an untimely death… hopefully it’s just in a coma.

Just a Savage Model 24V in .222/20ga. used extensively out here for quail, and the competing coyote, talk about a pencil thin barrel. However that combination was very good especially out here.

I clearly have some collecting to do, my only caliber that could be considered "odd-ball" is 7.62x54r. Others include 9mm, .45 ACP, .223/5.56, and 12 gauge

I tend to agree.

I like to shoot the 10mm, 38/44 High Speed, 357 Maximum, 25/06, etc.

Even my common calibers are not favorites. 38 Super, 357 Sig, etc.

I am currently looking for the right 222 or a 17 Remington. Both less common rounds.

I don't have any oddballs but I would LOVE to have a .280 AI or a 7mm STW. Maybe a .308 Norma Mag or a 7x61 Sharpe and Hart. It would be cool to have one of the weird ones. :)
I roll my own so after aquiring the brass availability would be a non issue.

I'm not that odd...but I've been on the hunt for a 454 casull lever action rifle that according to some gunship owners doesn't exist. FACEPALM!!!

I will find my rifle eventually.

I have 10mm, 357 Sig and 400 CorBon in handguns. My only really out of the ordinary rifle cartridges are 358 Win, 35 Whelen and 257 Wby. I don't really think of the 257 as an oddball, but it certainly can't be called common.

The only ones I have that have not seen mentioned yet are the 8mm Nambu, and a 9mm Winchester Magnum. And in case you are wondering, it is a 9X29, not a 9X23. That one is on the buy list.

I'll chime in here.

.405 Winchester (2)
6.5 Roberts
.35 Whelen (new to me as of today)

I only punch paper for now, but I'm trying to be reasonably prepared for civil unrest which could require the use of firearms.
