Okay, fun post: How many rounds in your lifetime

Last year I bought and shot:

9mm - 18,000 rounds
308 - 2400 rounds
7.62x39 - 7,000 rounds
12 ga - 500 rounds 00 Buck
250 Slugs
22 LR - I didn't keep records
38+P - 1400 rounds
357 Mag - 800 rounds

This year so far:

9mm - 3000 rounds
45ACP - 1200 rounds
762x39 - 2000 rounds (haven't shot it yet)
308 - 800 Rounds (haven't shot it yet either)
38+p - 200 rounds
357 Mag - 400 rounds
22lr - 5250 rounds (bulk packs rule ! ! ! )
12ga - 250 rounds 00 Buck

Now here's a thought. If you were to put a price to all the ammo you've blasted over the years, how much money do you think you've spent????

I'm not going to answer this one, as it's going to make me very depressed.

Think I'll just go buy a few bricks of 22 for the next month or two, time to put away the FAL, and 50 bmg. 10/22 here I come.

I have no idea what my lifetime count would be; but I fired 1,700rds of 9mm just last weekend - so I am guessing it would be pretty high across the board.

Too old to remember, but I'll mention the 'honorable mentions':

two-gun 50 AE "rapid-fire": 14 (didn't hit anything, but it sure was fun)

EDS Windrunner .50 BMG: ~25

full auto .45acp Tommygun IN THE PRK : ~100

Jeez. All I know is it is a LOT. I shot over 30K last year in handguns alone and have a shotgun with over 80K through it. Somewhere approaching half a million I would say, and possibly a hundred thousand more when in the military. 12 guage alone is somewhere around 250K rounds in the last 10-12 years.

Would have been an interesting bit of trivia to have kept track, and then figured dollar amounts........

Someone would have to post a thread that made me think about all the money I've spent on ammo!

I wouldn't dare venture a guess on lifetime numbers, but a quick review of my shooting logs from the last year shows...

.22 LR - 22,000
9mm - 6,000
12 ga - 2,000
Other misc "stuff" - 1000
