"Kinda" old - Smith Model 63 that I've had since sometime in the early to mid '80s
"Fairly" new - Glock 44 that I've had since just before covid started a couple of years ago
They're both .22LRs of course, and I use them both for the same things - mostly just fun and fishing ("kit guns" for shooting at impromptu targets when the fish aren't biting) and exterminating ground squirrels. The "old" Model 63 has put more ran over cats out of their misery than I care to remember though, while I haven't had to use the Glock 44 for that yet.
With Federal Premium "Hunter Match" (40gr HP 1,200fps) ammo, the Glock 44 is as reliable as the Smith Model 63, and it's
almost as accurate as the Model 63 fired single-action. It doesn't weigh as much either.
However, would I trade my little "kit gun" for a Glock 44? No way! There's too many memories built into that revolver, and I
don't like the new "kit gun" offerings from Smith. Besides, I can afford 2 22s.
