I know cops aren't necessarily gun people, but I saw an older episode this afternoon that was kind of laughable.
Male and Female Officers entered a residence looking for a suspect. Of course they found firearms. Stolen, more than likely.
The male officer holds up a rifle and says "This looks like an AK47 Assault Rifle" -- in which it clearly was not...it was an SKS with an AK47 Magazine.
Then the female cop finds a revolver which was quickly identified as a .44 Mag (it didn't look lie one to me, but i could be wrong) -- then the female cop said "This is the most powerful handgun in the world" (wonder where she got that line? LOL)
anyways, i chuckled about it, but it's kind of dissapointing to me that these officers really didn't have a clue. Rant over.
