I have an old mars 4 gen 3 scope (straight gen 3 tube that’s in perfect condition) I threw it (and my AR10) out of my gator one night using it to spot cows when sheriff called me about them being on the highway. Anyways it still works, but the power switch broke off of it clean.
The last time I lost the power lever they said I got one of the last ones as they weren’t servicing them any longer.
I’ve used it a few times and just pull the battery when I’m done.
Anyways, is anyone working on these today? Or is it safe to take it apart and put it on standby and use a remote to activate it?
I know it’s obsolete, but I traded for an ar15 with x site the other day that came with a big nasty illuminator. The difference that ILluminator made makes me wonder if it may really wake up the mars. Seems like it made the x sight almost as good as the mars with its tiny IR. a coyote reaper IR.
