I have some old rifle ammo if anyone can ID it.

The first is 6.5 Mannlicher. I have several boxes that I believe goes with an Carl Gustaf rifle I inherited. It is FN made, 1950 by the stamp. They are boxed with standard stripper clips, 5 to a clip.

The next is 6.5 Carcano maybe. Its rim says TWS 939. I have several rounds in stripper clip that is folded sheet metal and comes up about 1" on either side of the case. The clip holds 6 rounds.

#3 is ??????/

#4 is .30 Army made by WRA. Rimmed case.

#5 is 7mm Lee maybe? Also made by WRA

Would the Mannlicher be corrosive? The others are odd lots that my father picked up here and there. Nothing to shoot them in but I was wondering what they are.

All of it is corrosive.

They all have what appears to be cupro-nickle bullet jackets, which dates it to well before non-corrosive priming was invented.

Number 2 definitely looks like 6.5 Carcano. I have some that has the same sort of grooved case head surface.

Judging from the case length and headstamp, I believe #3 is 6.5 Swede.

Number 5 Appears to be a 7 x 57mm Mauser cartridge loaded by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company.

Number 4, is a 30-40 Krag, also known at one time as 30 US Army. It too was loaded by the Winchester repeating Arms Company.

Number 3 looks like a 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser cartridge loaded with a 156 grain Norma hunting bullet.

Some caliper readings would help.

Do not!!!! use no1 in your Carl Gustav Rifle, if that is chambered for 6.5x55 Swedish!

no3. Float pilot is correct. It´s a 10.1 gram (sorry, but I suck at conversing from grains) "alaska" bullet made by Norma, hand loaded in a Danish army surplus case. Be careful!

Thanks nyggis.

I had thought the rifle used a Mauser round, but since there were so many boxes of the Mannlicher, I assumed it was the correct round. Several of the #1 Mannlicher rounds have light primer strikes. Is it possible these were chambered in the rifle but, since they have a shorter case than the #3 rounds, chambered too deep to fire?

#1 is 3.055" OAL, 2.100" case
#2 is 2.988" OAL, 2.020" case
#3 is 3.095" OAL, 2.165" case
#4 is 3.075" OAL, 2.305" case
#5 is 3.050" OAL, 2.232" case

I have only an English caliper handy.

Here is the rifle in question.
It's been heavily sporterized, so no value as far as that goes. I haven't shot it yet. I guess I don't have three boxes of ammo for it like I thought so I'll have to go out and find some 6.5x55 Mauser.
