Those old Sakos are excellent rifles, I have an 30-06 AIII with Mannlicher style stock that I put a 6x45 scope on and it is a fine shooting rifle.

Serial # is 310xx.

Dunno what yr that makes it.

Rings are different. Messed w em briefly.
One has a stuck pin (spring loaded). Both were on that one ring but i got one out and polished it, works. The other is stuck in.
Kroil soak comin up.

The old Redfield is hazy. Cost me proly 110 to get it fixed dunno if worth it.

Rifle is .243 win. Quite a few dings and dents in the wood. Metal exterior is good. Popped it out of stock, fine underneath.
Bore is fuzzy. Dust and ?

Dunno how long this thing has sat.

Off to the LGS to kroil the stuck pin on front ring. Might have to cut a slot in it and rotate to break free. 10 bucks for a replacement pin/ spring.

Gotta get the old one out first. The other isnt stuck so is usable. I just want it right.
Even though itll proly get Leupold rings

Eh, its got a bunch of dents, could steam and refinish, really clean it up.
Would not be flawless though.
Is a neat little rig.
Trying to find a Leupold 4x or 2-7x for it.
Just an old hunting gun with a few more kills to be had (if it shoots).
Have a bunch of 95gr deer season XP left over from when I had my #1 rsi.
That rifle was pretty clean, two faint little dings. Had to look close to see em.

This one has em all over. Definitely no worries pushing the creek bottom LOL

10 mins w kroil and tapped w punch and got it out. Cleaned up and works as should.
Ring tops could use a couple new screws, one rings are ok. Fine slot, couple boogered on other, cleaned up to tolerable.

Over a hundred bucks for these old rings.
M3.5 -0.6 6mm is the screw. Id be cool of there was a torx upgrade lol.

Looks like its worth a little more than I paid.
Front hood and new screws for ring tops is 75 bucks. So just under 550 without scope, for a dinged up old rifle.

LOL.

Not a fan of the rings. Cool but just not pretty. Reg Leupolds be nicer.

Try to find a decent old M8 to put on top.
Reg longer tube model, not compact.
