My beloved Ruger GP-100 that I purchased last year came with the Houge Mono Grip, as they do these days. Since buying it I've been on the lookout for the older rubber with wood panels grip. The best I think I've seen was like $25.00 on eBay. Yesterday I wandered into a local gun store that is having a going out of business sale. I've been in there a few times because they increase the discounts as the closing date approaches. Sadly no deals on the hand guns. I went in to see if I could get a deal on any remaining .357 Sig ammo. I saw in one of the remaining mostly empty cases peeking up at me a set of original GP-100 grips that had been placed in a Houge mono-grip package. The price for these practically new grips with the dark wood panels was a whopping $5.00!! Sad to see this store go out of business, but super glad to get such a great deal. They look just like this, same color and everything.

I get too much finger on the trigger with them; I need the increased LOP from Hogue. I get better groups and a more consistent grip with the Hogues. I did upgrade to the wooden Hogue, though, they sure are nice.

(I've got an OEM rosewood/rubber set I'd sell if anyone needs one, just send me a pm.)
