Hi,

I have an express made in 2007 and I bought some parts to upgrade it.

I got an 870 chromed bolt with the bolt slide but it appears that the bolt slide is missing a cut that my express action bars has. Is it okay if I use my old wingmaster bolt on the express's bolt slide?

Also, the wingmaster bolt doesn't have the flexitab cuts in it like my new 870 express. It also doesn't have the flexitab on the shell lifter.

Is it okay if I swap out my flexitab'd carrier from my express and put it on wingmaster trigger group? Would the antijam ability still work even though the wingmaster bolt doesn't have the grooves cut into it?

Yes, yes, and yes. The flexitab can be installed, no problem. The carrier itself is only $20 and comes with the dog installed. The relief cut in the bolt is unnecessary, however, and if your bolt fits in the action bar where it should be no matter how many slots it has in it, should work fine. Pictures of the differences in the slots from old to new would be appreciated.

The relief cut in the bolt does not change how the flexitab works. No worries... I don't think it's a real improvement.

If you just like chrome, did you ever think about having your stripped bolt hard chromed? There are folks who can do that for you.

On the same topic, I bought a perfect / like-new Wingmaster aluminum trigger assembly and put it in my 870 HD w/ 18" barrel and it works great. I also took the Flextab off the plastic Express trigger assembly and installed it on the Wingmaster assmbly. The Wingmaster trigger feel is much nicer and the aluminum looks much better too.
