Remington 870 Wingmaster Bolt and Trigger Group

Hi,

I am thinking of buying a used Wingmaster bolt and metal trigger group for $95. Does the bolt fit in my 870 express for 3" mags? How about the metal trigger group. How's the price sound?

If the lifter on the trigger plate and the bolt/slide you are buying are set up with Remington's FlexTab system, everything should be fine- as long as the headspace is good. Headspace should be OK but I don't like to take it for granted.

If not, I'd rather have the FlexTab system in place, myself. See http://www.gunshopfinder.com/articles/870drills.html for an explanation why. YMMV of course.

It's a good idea to have spares on hand for the bolt/slide and the trigger plate assembly for 870s IMO, but I wouldn't worry overmuch about usng a gun with a polymer trigger plate. And as far as the bolt is concerned, an $8 extractor upgrade (if I recall the price correctly) will bring that up to Wingmaster/Police specs.
