My everyday carry weapon. I can only speak the praises of this fine Rossi 720 Looks great, shoots great and most of all.... It is reliable. Bought this new. I roll my own for practice, and for defense I carry the Blazer Gold Dots. I do rotate my Speed Six and Taurus 431 in my ccw carry. But over all. I love the Rossi the best. It has a super smooth trigger. Just as good as any S&W. On the range I'll stack it up against any weapon for defensive shooting. Any 44 special shooters out there feel the same about their weapon?
Picture are alwys a welcome sight.:D

Yep--I feel the same way about my S&W 696. I am not a good shot, @ 70 my eyes aren't what they used to be, but I shoot my 696 better than anything I've ever shot. I too like the Blazer ammo, but almost afraid to carry it because of all the talk I've heard about hard primers. Has that ever been a problem for you?

The .44 Special is one of the best handgun cartridges to come down the pike. It's accurate, mild shooting, in some loads, very powerful in others. There are now some factory loads that are very powerful. We now don't have to rely on handloads for powerful loads.

It's chambered in some really fine & classic guns, the S&W Tripple Lock & Colt SAA come immediatly to mind. Is it more accurate than most other cartridges as some suggest? I doubt it, the .38 Special is legendary for accuracy, & there are others too.
It's accurate enough, but what it really does is provide an accurate & powerful cartridge in one that is easy to shoot.
I like it & I like the guns it's chambered in.

I carry this one quite a bit in the summer. I don't shoot it a whole bunch, but I do shoot My own rolled .44 Special quite a bit in my .44 Mags.

My 720 came hammerless. I didn't like that, so I canged it out to having a hammer. I prefer the fixed sight look to the adjustable. I like fixed sight weapons for ccw.

44 spl.

My 44 spl. revolver is a little different, but great just the same. I have a Lipsey's 44 spl. Blackhawk. It is VERY accurate. I took two deer last year with hand loaded 200 gr. XTP's with 16 gr. H4227. Both at about 50 yards(my self imposed limit with this cartridge). One shot kills. Happy? VERY MUCH!
