Please,

Do not equate a firearm to a cell phone! They just don’t belong together.

Definitely, "Don't Leave Home Without My Pistol"

But a cell phone? Don't even own one!

I know I am in the minority, but neither my wife nor I own cell phones and we get along just fine. We can count the times we wished we had a cell phone to about once per year. Yes, we both work, socialize and travel quite a bit.

Without a cell phone, among many other advantages, we
• Plan ahead and actually manage to be at places as promised, on time
• Make decisions based on what we think
• Do not become a threat in traffic
• Can eat in a restaurant and enjoy the meal, our companion, and actually converse with her (or him)
• Are not indiscriminately and rudely interrupted when we are talking with others
• Save $30 or more every month!
• HAVE TIME TO THINK

Actually, having a cell phone's not so bad if your fiancee is the only one who ever calls you. Guess I'm just not a popular guy.

Come on, folks, a cell phone can definitely be life-saving in some situations. I think the cell phone is vital to this picture if it (the picture) is designed to promote guns as life-saving tools, rather than the fetishes of the sick and twisted. Think about it; cell phones - ubiquitous, harmless, handy. The fact that everybody has one tells us that they are seen as necessary or highly desirable. In that sense, PLEASE DO equate guns with cell phones.

That was kinda the idea....didn't mean to stir up this much tempest - wonder what would have happened if I'd posted it at DU??? :p

I would NEVER carry a gun without a cell phone, and I carry most every place I go. Why, you ask? Well, let me tell you why.

If I had to use my weapon to defend myself, I would be on the phone with the police dispatcher, who would be in constant communication with the responding officer's. I would let them know my appearance, location and that I see them approaching. I don't want to get shot by the police in the confusion. I also carry a flashlight to pinpoint my location.

It only makes sense, IMHO.

The background really gets your attention. Nobody will read a poster if something doesn't attract their attention. They will remember the message because of the background. Good Work.

I thought the P-01 has a decock-only lever, and can't be carried cocked-n-locked. This one looks like it is cocked. 'Course, that could just be the background :)

Another route you might consider going is contrasting the phone and the gun. The gun can save your life now. The phone can call for help that might not come in time.
