Did 5 years as full time LE firearms instructor, I have a 5 gallon ziplock freezer bag full of foam ear plugs I washed, and I probably washed and dried at least a boxes worth of handgun ammo for each caliber we were issuing at the time.

Now you need someone to try laundry detergent instead of their normal concoction.

My normal wet tumbled is the cheapest powder detergent the store sells, as it doesn't have all the optical brightners and the filler in it is usually mildly abrasive. Along with some cut up green scotchbrite pads. Does a great job.
