I have bought many online from Hinterland Outfitters, great price and fast shipping (no affiliation). They're currently having a sale:

    I've bought from:

    AIM Surplus
    Buds
    CDNN
    J&G
    Summit Gun Broker
    Grabagun

Haven't had any problems with any of them.

I’ve always found lowest total price and bought it with no trouble at all. In the past that was many times Buds, but their prices have been creeping up. Just recently bought a CZ phantom and iAmmo had lowest price $499 so bought from them, no issues.

    Regarding that last paragraph...

Its also a lazy part wit me too and the fact the all the LGS charge at least $75 for out of state transfers so Buds and the like aren't really saving me much if anything over galleryofguns.com plus I have to get it prearranged.

Since theres 3 place that are already set up with galleryofguns.com.... it makes reeeal easy for me to use.

I got the SKU off the CZ-USA site, 91190. I put in gun.deals and searched. $439 is the cheapest, but is not in stock. $475 is the cheapest one that’s in stock. I would wait for the $439 one to be in stock again. I did that with the S&W 686+ that I bought in November and saved lots of money. Pay attention to the shipping column. It’s usually right, but not always.

I've found Bud's had low prices, plus they ship handguns for free.

The good sites have been mentioned. I'd also recommend you use the FFL finder on gunbroker to find a local gun store, if you don't have a relationship with one. I'll bet there are some near you, that you did not know of.

    ^this^

I shopped around a bit and I found a FFL in my state of residence (who is less than a mile from where I live). He will do multiple gun transfers if I have more than one to pick up and charges $15.

In the state I work in I can transfer rifles, that I have shipped to my FFL, for $10. Needless to say, I also purchase my reloading supplies from him.

It is great to show loyalty; however, your FFL needs to remember it is a two way street and reward that loyalty.

As far as best prices, I typically use https://gun.deals/ to find the best price.

Look up the gun you want on www.gun.deals. Find a store with low price (top of the list), no or low shipping fee, no credit card upcharge and outside your state to avoid sales tax. This strategy almost guarantees the best possible price especially if you locate a low cost FFL in your area to make the transfer for you. I have had good luck with all the dealers I have used from gun.deals.

I find GunBroker to not be so good. Most sellers there charge too much for shipping and credit card unpcharge. The prices look good until you add in the extras.

I like Buds, and Keely Arms. Both offer free shipping. Buds has my local dealer on file, and many others that are local to me, so its "One Click, and Done"

Buds worked for me. Free fast shipping, and $25 transfer at my LGS.

I've bought a few guns from GunBroker but only bid what I felt was a fair price considering the extra costs with shipping, CC fee and the cost for my local FFL. I lose a lot of bids this way but I've also gotten some decent deals, you just have to be patient.

I've bought from Bud's a lot and CDNN once or twice. Good experiences from both almost without exception. I may have bought from other places, too, but I can't remember. Never a bad experience.

Keep in mind, when you're in the midst of a gun buying panic (which we may be heading into now??) processing and shipping can take a lot longer. So people who are used to Bud's usual fast shipping can start asking, "Hey, why did this take two weeks?" But that's really no big deal. Never been burned on GunBroker or GunsAmerica, either. These are sites that compile a bunch of auctions and classified ads into one place. Yeah, auctions are generally a hassle, but on rare occasion you get killer deals.

I ditto Whittakers, bought my last two guns from them. Just got the best deal out there on my Nano. Best price. Ordered on a Sunday night, out for delivery on Wed. I normally go with Buds, but Whitakers has them beat on my latest purchases.

Most online sellers have a long list of FFLs that they already have a copy of the FFL for. Choose one near you. If they don't already have an FFL on file near you go to your favorite FFL and get them to send a copy of their FFL to that company. The ones that don't mind doing transfers are happy to do this for you.

I've bought from CDNN with full confidence.

If you know what you want it's not that hard to shop around.

One other Gun.deals tip, Identify and search for the pistol different ways. Use the SKU#, its trade name, and whatever other ways you can think of. The reason is that, I have seen, different vendors sometimes have slight variations in their descriptions. Different searches, for the same gun, can deliver very different results.

+1 on that. You don't want to spend more on something less.

Try your local gun store. They need to be in business to support our sport. Over the life of that firearm the few dollars saved will be minuscule a you will be greeted warmly by the owner every time you go in. In my over 50 years of shooting I have only gone to online purchases three times and they were for very specialized firearms.

I really consider it to be unfortunate that I just don't have those memories about the local gun stores. The type of place you seem to have in mind is the type of place I would be glad to support.

The closest to that for me is a small storefront run by a member of my lodge. However, he is quick to recommend that I order what I want, at the best price I can find, then ship it to him and pay the $10 for a transfer.

He does not want to tie up too much money in inventory. Most of his inventory is reloading components. Yes, I buy my powder and primers from him.

If you have an LGS with reasonable prices, maybe not as good as online, but reasonable, I agree. I have paid and will pay a little bit more to buy one out of the local inventory on the spot vs ordering, without even accounting for sales tax (that's an unfair advantage to a lot of the mail orders can't hold it against the locals). But some LGS just charge way too much. I shopped around locally, one LGS is $25 transfers and charges for example $550 for a new Glock Gen5 or $600 for the new VP9SK...another one is $50 transfers and wants $630 for a Gen5 Glock and $700 or so for a VP9.

You can guess which one I go to lol

That is much like the little shop here. They are low on the pecking order with the distributor also. Usually he'll recommend one of the area shops or Bud's.
