I was looking at aftermarket stocks for my 700 ADL. From what I can tell the only differences between the ADL and BDL is the BDL had a nicer stock, nicer metal finish and removable floor plate. Will a stock made for the BDL with removable magazine floor plate work on an ADL?

yes, but you will have to convert the adl over, meaning you'll need the floorplate, and screws... on your adl, the rear action screw will still work, but you'll do away w/ the escutcheon and front screw in favor of the bdl's front screw and floorplate.

if you are talking about action fit to the stock, yeah, the actions will drop right in. remington makes a short action, which covers all their sa cartridges (221 fireball on up to the shamu line) and a long action, which covers the la's on up to the rum line...

switching from a bdl to adl is easy and inexpensive. switching from adl to bdl depends on how much your floorplate costs, but is also easy.
