Wow! Doesn't say much for Philadelphia's prosecution of robbery! It may be best not to advertise this beyond this forum for fear of NY/NJ robbers moving there.

I'm sure that an honest citizen, carrying a handgun without a permit, would get hard time in Philly.

The lesson here is how a failed system encouraged and emboldened him to step up his game.

If he's been arrested 44 times, imagine how many robberies he's actually committed.

Justice for him will ultimately come at the point of a gun.

It's surprising he's lasted this long.

A big problem in Philly is that people are afraid of retaliation so witnesses don't come forward or don't show up to court. "Don't snitch" is the prevailing thought.

Quite frankly, if you know the bad guy will walk or will get out quickly even if convicted there is little incentive to come forward.

You have a great idea of the workings of a criminal mind :p Don't worry, Philly isn't going to see an increase in new immigrants. Our cities have just as low of a conviction rate.

I remember being told about a guy arrested for disorderly conduct, and the cops found a bag of blow in the guy's pocket. They didn't feel like going through the process involved with a drug related arrest, police-work wise, so they just tossed the bag and "no one saw nothing"

Makes it easy to see why Philly's mayor is such an anti-gun type.....At least as long as the guns are owned and carried by/for non-criminal citizens, aka victims of scumbags like this. >MW

Son of a bitch should come to Arkansas and try that crap.

You "stick a gun in somebody's face" down here and you get exactly what you deserve... a bullet.

STRAIGHT SHOOTER - " A big problem in Philly is that people are afraid of retaliation so witnesses don't come forward or don't show up to court."

It is not just Philadelphia: witness intimidation is rampant all over the United States.
