one or two piece bases

Getting a brand Leupold VXIII for my remington 700 243. I plan on mounting it with Leupold rings and base and noticed now that you can get two piece bases (yeah, it's been awhile since I got a new scope). Are the two-piece bases just as good as the single piece? I'll be shooting some fairly hot handloads.
 
as long as they are indexed when installed you should be fine , its not an amature instalation in eather case ,
 
Some people claim the one piece base adds strength to the action. I don't really buy this.

I have occasionally seen one piece bases that are so close to the loading port that they interfere with ejection. This is quite rare though.

On the whole I think you will almost certainly be fine with either. I have never seen a convincing argument either way.
