Eyes open, that is.
I'm a left-hander who shoots right-handed, and I'm right eye dominant. My left-handed has had me questioning my eye dominance a lot, but it is pretty pronounced.
I shoot trap decently with one eye, and that's how I'm most comfortable. I've been learning skeet and I can't shoot skeet well one-eyed.
Trouble is I can't shoot skeet well with two eyes either. I've only just barely started trying and it's disconcerting as all get out. I'm managing to focus on the target, but I've got this multitude of gun barrels and beads and random trees and all sorts of other stuff cluttering up my vision in double.
Is this way it is supposed to look? Just keep looking at the target and practice ignoring the half dozen beads floating around? Ok, so possibly I am exaggerating a tiny bit.
I've been advised to get one of those little blurry patches for the left lense of my glasses, but I've only got the one pair, and I'd sure rather buy a couple cases of shells than more glasses.
Any comments, suggestions, advice on the one v two eye dilemma, or on transitioning from one to two?
