Yeah, my question was to everyone.
My Dad and I have been showing my Nephew how to shoot, he was 6 when we started.
My Wife is pregnat with our first, a BOY due in late July. I keep telling the wife that I need someone to pass these guns onto.:p

hmm while we're on the topic any of y'all got any girls in their 20's?? I sure would like to find myself a fine lookin young lady that likes to shoot:D

Is it just me???

Or do we all have some Mighty Fine lookin' kids? :D
Techbrute...That is a Beautiful shot!!
AZ...WOW! Impressive ...you are doing something right.
Horge...Thank you! I
P95...There is no substitute for Good Old Tri-X Pan ...Great Shot!

As far as what age to start them shooting...I was started at 5 or 6 with a .22, but literally my first memory is of riding on my dad's shoulders holding a pellet pistol while hunting.
I started my own out as soon as they got their first toy pistol. The 4 rules are King in my home and toy or not they are followed. First bb gun at about 5, start .22 about 6 or so (dependin on mastry of safety.) I have let my kidss progress to larger calibers as they show an interest. My 12 year old daughter has shown a fondness and an aptitude for my 1911's. My12 year old sone is more into ,22's. I don't care as long as we shoot.:D

Hehe! Techmike. A fellow ''mono'' pic taker eh! Yep .. used quite a bit of Tri-X .. and FP4 (the Ilford 125 ASA). Did all my own dev and print for many years.

Gotta say .. dig' has now given me way more flexibility ... even if res' still not quite ''up there''.

I salute you sir!
Best bonding experience is at a range for sure.
My 16yr old is a typical teenager untill we go to the range together,
Then a different person takes over...I know the feeling you had!

Haven't shot much of the IlFord Product...But I couldn't count the exposures I've mad on Tri-X, Plus X and T-Max over the years. In a former Life I was a Newspaper Photographer. Easy to shoot a lot of film when someone else pays for it.:D

I shoot almost all digital now too. but I will get out the F-3 now and then just for fun.

Congratulations!!! I hope that she continues to enjoy herself at the range and that you enjoy your new shooting partner.

Great story.

I can't wait to take my 5 year old son out shooting for the first time this year. He is very excited about learning and I will feel proud teaching him. As a matter of fact I purchased him a little present (Walter P22) for his first time out to complement the Ruger 10-22 I bought for him when he was one (Well that's what I told my wife). I can't wait till it warms up so we can head to the outdoor range.
