Funny, the people that don't want us to own guns are making death threats.:banghead:

I think it's B.S. that anybody should blame them, just because they sold the gun.
It's like blaming a car dealer because some idiot ran somebody over with a car.

I don't blame them for selling the gun, but I blame them for this lame promotion.

I looked at HK & Glock, because I know what they go for locally. The HKs are maybe $10 cheaper, and I can't see the price of the Glocks because they are all "backordered."

Priced the M&P340 revolver, it's $5 more than I paid at my local shop.

I'm sure the prices are fair - but nothing special. I certainly don't blame them for VT, but I'm not sure how I feel about them "cashing in" on their notoriety.

There's no way in hell those prices are at cost! My local shop already beats the prices for anything he has that I'm interested in.

"Free speech is a hallmark of university life," he said. "Still, I find it terribly offensive to learn that the gun-seller of the weapons used in the Virginia Tech campus murders would set foot on this campus."

Idiot. Guess he blames car dealers and liquor store owners for drunk drivers.

i will try to call this company today to see if the advertised prices on the website are currently reflecting this offer, maybe the website editor has not changed them. keep your fingers crossed

I suspect that the listed prices are not the actual prices that we will pay, but just his regular prices. Its alot of work to go and change the price on all those guns.

If I find anything I like, I will call him up and ask him what the actual price is. I'll let you guys know what he says if I do.

talked to a customer service rep. all available weapons in stock will have red lettering below it showing normal price and the "you save" comparison. thats the dealer cost. weapons which do not have this are currently not in stock

That's a scam. Local dealers sell same guns for far less NIB. It's a shame they are taking advantage of an unfortunate situation.

Those prices don't look to be "at cost" to me either, even the discounted guns are only between $20-$75 off MSRP. The prices are good but after you pay the FFL transfer fees and shipping the price doesn't seem all that great a savings to me. The cheapest place in my area where I can have guns shipped to and transfered to me charges a $35 transfer fee, the most expensive place charges $50:mad: Ridiculous I know but since I don't have an FFL myself so I have to go through a dealer. Tack on the added shipping cost and basically I'd be paying just as much if not more than I would if I went to my local gun shop to buy something.

I'll admit the prices are good, I just don't believe those are "at cost" looks more like a minor discount to me. I do like the reason why this company is offering this promotion and I hope they sell a lot of guns, however I'm not fully buying it myself:scrutiny:

Yeah most of those prices suck. There are a couple good deals though. Brand new Remington 870 7-shot 12ga for $280.

The price on some of the S&W's are less than I can buy locally. Shipping seems reasonable.

Has anyone done business with this online dealer? How reputable?

I guess their costs are different than around here. Their CBOB 10mm is $881, around here they run $849.

I ordered spotting scope through them and it arrived broken into pieces. I sent it back to them and they did not credit my account and I had to file a dispute to get my money back. I won't deal with those jerks again.

Every time I've looked for a gun at The Gun Source, if they had a better price than someone on gunbroker, then the item was backordered.

Their website is poorly constructed as well. Thanks but no thanks, Gun Source.

It depends which distributor he gets his stuff from, but the ones I looked at were right at cost.

Just sayin'.

Wes

No way that these guns are at "cost"

"Cost" is an ambiguous term when used to promote. It's either what the seller paid his supplier for an item or a sellers cost [of good sold] with no profit.

I think it's a very generous gesture to the cause for this guy to be doing this as he is doing it. His message is clear; guns in good peoples hands stop crime.

Personally I wont call the guy dishonest for not paying his rent, utilities and all other overhead out of his pocket so he can spend as much time as he offers with no personal income selling guns for what he paid for them. There's making a statement and there's "your nuts, you ought to just shut down and go on vacation".

I ordered two Kel Tec P11's

He had them for about $100 less than they retail around here. I thought the web page was pretty easy to navigate around (not perfect, but I've seen worse) and the prices for guns he had in stock were pretty good (and pretty clear as to the extent of the deal)
