Open Carry at Sportsman's Warehoue

I was in Sportsman's Warehouse on SE 82nd. in Portland, OR the other day buying some blackpowder supplies and doing a lot of looking at all the stuff I would like to have. At the end of one isle there was an employee talking to a guy and his lady friend. I happened to come back down the isle and the guy had his back to me. I then noticed that he had a outside waistband holster in the small of his back and a semi auto pistol of some kind in it. It was not concealed nor any attempt to conceal. It was open carry. I did not think anything about it more and the roughly 30 min I was nearby no one else did either. The employee was just talking to him like nothing was out of the ordinary. I thought to myself why couldn't it be like that every place else you go.

I don't have any problems with open carry, but open carry in the small of the back?!!??


Sounds like a good way to lose control of your gun.
