Just to let you guys know I was in local Sportsmans warehouse today and the sign on the read this (Firearms comming into the biulding for warranty or for trade ins must be checked at counter, CCL holders are welcom to carry in the building as long as you abide by stae laws) or something to that affect, so Sportsmans Warehouse in Federal Way, WA welcoms people eith concealed weapons.

Just thought you guys might want to know I know the issue has been brought up before were some acted as though it was not allowed.

Provo, UT store

There's no sign up that I can see at the Provo, UT store. I have asked though, and it seems that the company policy is that CCW is a-ok.

I didn't see one at the San Antonio store, I carry mine in there when I go. Great place for reloading stuff.

I hate to use this phrase for firearms, but don't ask, don't tell. No sign equals they will never know...

SW here in Marana says longguns must be unloaded, and if you plan on removing your handgun for holster fit check, then it must be unloaded prior to entering store. Makes sense.

I don't think the one here in Columbia has any sort of sign at all.

Yea it does, up in the left corner of the door if you go in the doors on the right. It was something like this, but I cannot remember exactly.

Think about it a minute, Sportsman's Warehouse would be a bad career choice to try to rob, at least during business hours, anywhere in the country.

The one in Salem, OR had (has? haven't been in a while) signs that said no loaded guns "except", and referenced some law by code number that I was not familiar with. So I went to the info desk to clarify. They said that only police officers could carry loaded firearms in the store, and even if you had a CCW permit, it was not allowed.

So I emailed their corporate headquarters to verify this. I received a response apologizing for the employees misinformation, I was assured that my right to legally carry in their store was not in opposition to their policy, and told that their employees would be re-educated about their policy. I was satisfied with that response.

Sioux Falls, SD has no sign that I've seen. Then again, I think the only "No Weapons" signs I've seen are in courthouses, schools, and the airport terminal.

Pittsburgh has a sign that says firearms need to be checked in at the customer service desk. No mention of CCWs so I asked. The nice young girl at the desk said that the policy does not apply to CCWs.

The 3 stores in the Phoenix area have the same sign. I don't think they would even have a problem with open carry. They just require that it be unloaded and checked if you plan on unholstering/handling it for service/trade-in.

I went to the Sportsmans Warehouse in Boise, ID to help my best friend buy black powder gear. I am jealous. The SF Bay area is in desparate need of a Sportsmans Warehouse.

Yet another reason why I buy many items from Sportsmans Warehouse, not just guns and ammo. I really like the gun counter guys too. My wife flipped the other day when we went in and I glanced at the gun counter and 2 out of 3 guys working knew my name and asked how I was doing.

I'm headed to the Sportsmans Warehouse north of Pittsburgh in a couple of hours. I'll have to take a look and see if there's a sign.

Yup. There's a sign inside the entrance to the Sportsmans Warehouse off Mt. Nebo Rd. north of Pgh. It instructs those with guns to have them checked on entry, but says CCW permit holders are welcome to carry, keeping their guns concealed. They are to have their weapons checked by an employee should they need to bring them out from concealment (I assume to discuss said weapon with someone at the gun counter, etc.).

So CCW is fine. My kind of store!
