A thought just crossed my mind.... :uhoh:

How might open carry proponents in Texas go about protesting the prohibition on open carry? I was thinking, carry concealed, but wear a shirt or sport a sign that reads, "I am carrying a gun. (I'm just not allowed to show you.)"

Seems to me like it'd be a good way to protest a little each day, not just at rallies and such.

Just throwing that out there...

Open Carry vs. Concealed Carry

The only advantage I can see of open carry over concealed is with open carry you are advertising to potential bad guys you are willing to blow their head off. For my education are there any other advantages??

Faster, easier ability to draw.
But that's a different topic. There's a really good thread about it somewhere on here...

A CWP is really a 'fashion' permit since it specifies what type of fashion you must wear to conceal your weapon v open carry.

Could an LEO, prosecuting attorney or judge deduce that you are OCing if you declare such on a tee shirt via a slogan? Not by the letter of the law.

It would be an interesting exercise, and probably a bridge to getting the law changed, since it defeats the purpose of the law.

And it may even enrich the bank accounts of a few activists along the way.
