I was going to say that looks wicked, but I guess that's not the terminology to go with those grips - so I'll just say that's a REALLY attractive 1911. I've never seen a bobtailed Operator, it looks so perfectly proportioned!

I have scrolled back to look at it 3 times since starting to write this post - wow!

XD - Dan Wesson and Ed Brown sell Bobtail designs, well, already Bobtailed. Instead of cutting on a 1911, get it already made.

Or Caspian has Bobtail frames if you're the "build it yourself" kinda guy. Transfer your favorite beavertail, trigger, safety, and other frame-mounted hardware and a beloved 1911 slide over, and voila!

Absolutely worth the cost. This is five shots at 10 yards, for me thats a great shooter. It likes Federal a lot, shoots hydra-shoks right to point of aim.
