It appears that the boys at Sig fixed the trigger problems on the P365. Primer strikes were the problem, so we were told. The new P365XL looks promising. Any thoughts on the subject!?!
Iffy quality control aside the XL doesn't seem quite as revolutionary to me in terms of the packaging compared to the regular 365. I'd prefer a 2.0 Compact 3.6" - it's just a bit bigger and the 2.0 M&P's are rock solid.
Interesting as I have 2 365s and haven't had any issues; both go bang every single time with a wide variety of ammo, including reloads.I have two P365XL's as well as two P365's as they're my carry guns, and I wanted a backup for each. 3 of the 4 went back to Sig for light primer strikes, the last being a P365XL that was sent back a couple of weeks ago. Per Sig, they replaced the recoil springs on all of them, fixing the problem. Sig is still having problems with the quality control for their recoil springs. They're fantastic carry guns (for me), but don't be surprised if you purchase one that needs to go back to Sig for repair. The good news is that mine were fixed correctly and I haven't had issues with them since.

I could have written this post myself. I love those 12 round mags - that makes the gun fit my hand just great.I have one of the 365's with both 10 and 12 round magazines. They will take the 15 round mags. I bought the gun to carry IWB for concealment. But I shoot it ALMOST as well as a full size gun, and with 12 round magazines it isn't TOO hard to still carry concealed. In fact It has pretty much replaced my G19 for OWB carry.
I don't have the XL version, and may not get one. I'm sorta thinking I may buy some 15 round mags for the standard gun and call it good.
You're kidding, right? Third post before someone arrives to denigrate the gun. What's your experience with the 365XL ... and just where do you people come up with this crap? "Iffy" quality control? Seriously, get off the 'net, go out and actually shoot and be around people who shoot these guns.Iffy quality control aside the XL doesn't seem quite as revolutionary to me in terms of the packaging compared to the regular 365.

It's the smallest optic ready option on the market that I know of. That's a big deal to those of us who have trouble seeing iron sights anymore. One thing I like about the regular P-365 is I can shoot those sights very well even without glasses, an optic would be sweet though.
I'm waiting on an adapting plate to mount my Trij RMR
Will post pics when done including the great holsters I've found.
Does somebody currently make an adapting plate or are you waiting for someone to come out with one? If one's available now can you tell me who? I can't find one.
I'm told they should be getting them in stock today (I ordered a few weeks ago)
Maple Leaf Tactical (available for p365 (with optic cut slide), p365XL or Shield:

I suggest you try for yourself.
I haven't shot one but I've handled a regular 365 in store. I dont care if it held 15 rounds it's still to small for me. Very reminiscent of my old LC9S as far as the size of the grip. I would assume the XL is just longer.
I'll keep my wider and still very concealable G26 with extended mag thanks.
YMMV....
