optics for DPMS LR .308

So I was wondering what optics I should buy for my BPMS .308. I have approximatley up to 750 to spend on a scope. I do have someone that wants to sell me a Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10X44 mildot (2003 model) for $650 but I could buy Brand New Nikon monarch X for that. I am looking for something quality that I can shoot at long ranges. Does anyone recommend a cheaper scope? Here are my options

Leupold Mark 4
Nikon Monarch X
Trijicon Accupoint

cant go wrong with the mk 4 at that price,,,but that just me ,,,if you dont get the mk4 for 65o let know where it is i will!

bought it! any idea what height rings to use on a DPMS .308 AP4? im thinking medium

You'll probably want ultra high, depending on your scope bell. You need room to clear the handguard and bring the scope to about the same level as the normal iron sights. Ultra High rings will do that for you without the need of a separate rail riser, especially on the A3 style upper of the 308 AP4. The smooth sided DPMS 308 upper has a raised rail that allows you to use medium rings, the A3 has a standard height rail so you generally need something much higher.
