At this point I think the OP has come to the realization that the concepts "Optimizing accuracy" and "budget" don't belong in the same thought process.
Well, it's all relative. I bought my custom rifle used (20 rounds) from a guy who really wanted to buy a wedding ring in a hurry and I got that at a budget-y price. My wife knows my hobby can be expensive and has a good understanding of what nice guns can cost as I collect Series 70 Colt guns. What she does not have a handle on is how many of the things are in the gun safe and I am very good with that. Maybe a few guns every now and then find their way into my life less her knowledge.
