Ordered a PM9 and in trouble.

I found a new HK45CT I absolutely HAD to have. It was right at $1000. My wife and I have an understanding that if we want something small, say under $100, we can just buy it. But for big purchases we talk it over. So I told her I wanted it, as I didn't have a .45, and she said sell whatever you want as they're your guns, and you can buy the .45. So I sold 2 pistols I had never shot and never really liked and got the HK. I love the pistol and she's happy I asked first. Seems like after 38 years of marriage I may have finally got it right!

I would hope if you had to sell 2 guns to buy 1 it would be OK.
I find it's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission, but I've only been married 6 years.

This may be slightly off subject but if the PM9 is too big for pocket carry, the what exactly is it's purpose? A tiny little belt holster on a tiny little belt for a tiny little person? It seems that there are plenty slightly larger guns that give you a much better grip and capacity without being any more difficult to conceal.

Versatility. I can carry it in my pocket if I have to, IWB, OWB, coat pocket, etc........and it's a 9mm, not .380.
Never been a fan of guns like the M&Pc or Glock 26/27. I would rather dress around a FS gun.

Since obviously I don't know your financial situation, it would be difficult to comment on what you can afford and how often you can buy something without having to sell something. Having said that, if you're truly set on the versatility of the PM9 and this is the reason you want it, then sell the LCP and enjoy your new gun.

The PM-9 is not a pocket carry gun unless you've got cargo pants.
Nice gun, just not a pocket gun.

I haven't read all the replies, but ... I'm a small dude and I always have a PM9 in my front jeans pocket. It's not a brick or a lemur.

strategy is to have a piece or 2 of jewelry in the safe for emergencies.

and in all fairness it seems always the men that are seeking to make it right with the women. i vote that it should be a two way road--tell her that she has to also have a gun stashed for when she does you a bad.

for now, id dump the plastic little one.

I have a PM9 and a LCP. I pocket carried the PM9 for a few months, and last week switched back to the LCP. It's amazing how much less noticeable that LCP is my pocket. I just don't think there is a better gun for pocket carry. I'll keep the PM9, but probably get a belt holster and wear a t shirt for cover.

I went the other way. I got a LCP for Christmas, but was carrying a PM45, mostly in an inside jacket pocket. Then my PM45 was stolen and I was left with the LCP as my only 'pocket' gun. I wasn't crazy about the 380, so I bought a PM9 last week. It fits in a pants pocket barely [not jeans] or a jacket or in my Remora holster if I'm wearing jeans.
