I can't believe this. Here is a link to the story at a Wisconsin RKBA organization.

The main stream media has covered the shooting and search for suspects, but has not covered the home invasions and seizures at all. Do a Google search for something like "oshkosh wisconsin police shooting search" to see how it is not covered. Does anyone live there who can report first hand knowledge of what is going on? My condolences and sympathies to the officer injured in the line of duty, but the response is criminal!

If this is true, this police department may never get out of bankruptcy after angry residents sue them for many millions of dollars.

I’m not 100% sure about this but I bet if it was a regular person and not a cop that was shot at they probably wouldn’t be going to all this trouble. I don’t care whether this is proper procedure or not, this is why so many people don't trust law enforcement.

There's a thread over on Free Republic about this with a lot of links to news reports. It's not clear if all the "confiscated" firearms were taken with or without warrants or if the homeowners gave the police permission to both search the property and test the guns.

Closed as a duplicate. (Thanks for posting the link, Sindawe.)
