My new SP-01 is working nicely. I had one malf (the second round in the gun) and it's been fine now for 250+ rounds over the past two weeks. However, from shot 1, it tends to throw brass straight back at me, usually causing it to land on my short-sleeved arms. Ouch.

How do I fix this? New extra-power Wolff extractor spring? If so, how do I install it?

The gun has worked fine and I tested a variety of hand loads with it. Incidentally the two best loads are my two standby loads...
4.2gr of Titegroup, 124gr JHP, 1.100", mixed brass
4.5gr of Titegroup, 115gr FMJ, 1.155", mixed brass

I installed a reduced power recoil spring (15#) and mainspring (17#). The backwards ejection existed before and after I changed those out.

Thanks guys!

reshape your ejector..
go slow..but angle so first contact point is at the top of the ejector and it as a slight angle toward the ejection port.

and hksw..that's funny

how many rounds have you put through it? from what i've read it can happen in the first couple hundred rounds. i think it happened a few times with ours brand new but disappeared and the trigger also got smoother as the gun broke in.

250-300 so far. The trigger has gotten noticeably better over that time too.

eerw, do you have any details on how to reshape the ejector?

there was another thread that had the pics, can't remember which one. use the search for CZ and ejector, or search for eerw's recent posts

I have the same problem. One night after the range i took my shirt off and brass fell out of the pocket. I managed to just get used to it, but i'll have to check out the ejector thing.

On the other hand learning to shoot calmly without flinching while hot brass is flying towards your face could be considered a good training aid.
