I'm going to a conference in Indiana from Washington State. It says on packing.org that my Washington CCW is honored in Indiana. It also says on opencarry.org that licensed open carry is permitted in Indiana. Presumeably the single license in Indiana is for both open and concealed carry. Now, how does that work with my Washington permit? Concealed only, or either?

Either way, at least they honor my permit. :)

carnaby, what city? If you come to Lafayette or Indy, state gun laws require that you buy El Tejon sushi. :D

Take a gander at Indiana Code 35-47-2-21(b). "Licenses to carry handguns, issued by other states or foreign countries, will be recognized according to the terms thereof by only while the holders are not residents of Indiana."

Thus, if your Washington sez only concealed, then only concealed. If Washington sez either way, then either way. Dammit, boy, it's Indiana, O.K. with you, O.K. with us.

Bring your euchre deck, sharpen your freethrow shot, get ready for pork and grilled veggies and come on out and have a great time at your conference. :)

sounds good. It's at the Notre Dame campus, which I presume is off limits to us law abiding folks, while packing
