Hi there!
I know of the indoor range atKnoxville's Coal Creek Armory (which has very reasonable summer rates, it turns out!), but I wonder if anyone can point out to me other options, outdoors especially, in eastern TN. (I'm east of Knoxville, but don't mind a drive for good reason.)
In Pennsylvania, there are tax-paid ranges (I forget under which agency or area they fall -- recreation? conservation? forestry?), where -- at least as of a few years ago, not sure if anything's changed -- you could show up, set up your targets, shoot and leave. (And, if you're lucky, pick up some abandoned brass as well.)
Any suggestions for good places to go plinking? (Not hunting, nor do I need a 1000 yard stretch -- for my eyes and skills, 50 yards is pushing it ) I don't know much about the rules in national forest land, though TN does have some of that, too.
Suggestions welcome -- And have a good Independence Day!

p.s. I'm pretty sure I asked this question a while back and got some decent answers -- but now I can't find it, scrolling into my old posts. Mea culpa ...
