Over & Under for Women???

I am having a difficult time finding an over and under that has a shorter stock and was wondering whether anyone has any suggestions. I currently have a home defense 12 gauge Remington 870 Wingmaster (18 inch), but really want an over and under with a longer barrel for trap shooting. I have tried shotguns with regular stocks and they are just too long for me and had to modify my Wingmaster to include a youth stock. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Buy the O/U that you like and take it to a gunsmith to have the stock cut down to fit. An inch or two off the stock and a new recoil pad and it'll fit like a charm.

I once saw a line of O/Us with stocks cut for women; not only shorter but with other dimensions meant for the feminine physique. Unfortunately they had not sold well and were being blown out/closed out by the distributor.

Beretta is showing an auto shotgun with adjustable comb and short length of pull that would be a decent lady's trapgun.

But I do not know of a current O/U for a woman. Having one cut to a comfortable length might be the only option. And not an unusual one; I recall a lady shooter here with a BT-99 cut way down for her arm length.

My wife (110 pounds, 5'0) shoots a Browning Micro Lightning 20g o/u. I'm pretty sure they stopped making them and I don't know how hard they are to find.

People that are about 5'9" with a 32" shirt sleeve can use most shotguns right off the rack, so to speak. Those of us who vary from that need stocks fitted and the more we vary the more we need them fitted.

One of the best trapshooters I've met shoots a Beretta that's fitted to her. She's not much bigger than Tinker Bell.

Wenig makes a Reduced Length stock designed to fit women. Not cheap, none better.
