So,

I was in bass pro today and I was looking at their 28 gauges. One was an over and under Savage Milano.

It looked like a well made gun, the action seemed stiff, and overall I liked it. I actually nearly bought the gun on the spot. But, then thought better of it and figured I'd ask the boards what they thought about this model.

Any thoughts? I already own a wingmaster and BPS (youth stock for my youngest) in 28 gauge so I'm familiar with the gauge.

Not as good as a Beretta 686 or Browning Citori but much better than the Turkish guns. The real problem is the price. The Milano is made by F.A.I.R. in Italy and used to be imported under the Verona name. Unfortunately, when Savage took over importation they raised the price about $300.
