Ox-Yoke Wonder Seal?

Nice but thats a litte pricy. i think i will stick to lube 2000 or bore butter. that and q tips work good for me.

What good does it do anyway???

I noticed in the picture they are already using a lubed felt wad (wonder wad) between the powder and ball. Chain fires that are starting from the face of the cylinder are caused by a bad fitting or deformed ball that allows fire around it to reach the powder. If you are already using a wonder wad and you have the proper size ball that shaves a ring of lead when you load adding more is simply sending more money downrange for nothing. It looks like the answer to a none existant problem. If you are experiencing chain fires I think you should correct the problem instead of cover it up with some preformed lube plug. After over twenty years of shooting C&B revolvers and exactly zero chain fires I think I will spend the money on caps or powder instead.

They could be an alternative to using Wonder Wads over the ball, or for using Wonder Wads at all for that matter. They're thicker and hold more lube, and not as messy as using only lube over the balls. Maybe they hold better in the chamber mouths too.
They shouldn't be faulted for trying since RMC bought out Ox-Yolk products and now they need to sell folks something.

I shoot BP occasionally at a local indoor range. I just use Wonder Wads so I don't make a mess.

If I don't care about the mess, I'll save money. A popsicle stick and Crisco will do the same thing for practically free. A can of Crisco lasts for a lot of rounds.

Why you'd buy this for $8.50 is beyond me.

Seems to me that they are very similar to lube pills. Course I use mine under the ball, not over.

As depicted in their illustration they are an unnecessary additional expense. If used instead of the overpowder wad they might provide a less messy, but still expensive, alternative to grease. A proper fitting ball still seems the best protection against crossfires emanating from the front of the cylinder, but as a source of lubrication these are an option.

Kinda a reminds me of a fella at work. He was selling some gas capsules that you were supposed to put in your gas tank to save gas and clean out your injectors had all sorts of paperwork. He ended up giving me some just to try out. Well i tried them out and never saw any advantage to it. About 6 months later my fuel pump went out in my car. When i pulled out the pump those stupid capsules were still in the tank. they never dissolved or anything. So i guess its just another way for someone to make money. Trying to get his or her share of the american dream.
