Oh...BTW...Have you tried Power Pistol for those loads...it gets some pretty "meaningful" velocities without going as far into +P territory as Unique...it has a longer pressure curve.

38 super is marked +P today even though it is at or below its original specs. It is just an attempt at keeping fools from putting it in an older 38 ACP gun.

Ive tried it, not for +P stuff. I just didnt like the powder (too high flash for my defensive stuff). I would only use it for .45+P, so Im not aping to go get another pound. I use 3n37 for my 9mil and .38 stuff. I may look into other loadings for Power Pistol in .45, maybe even my subsonic rifle rounds (.223 and 7.62x54R gallery loads).

My Para Ord P10 [now days called a Hawg] has case support at .235".

This is terrible, and should not be used for even +P, but I can shoot 45 Super loads by using Starline +P brass:

12 gr Power Pistol, 1.275", 152 gr LSWC, 1250 fps with a 3.16" barrel.
Pressure is ~ 29,000 psi.

.38 Super?

I only wish! You can get some real needlegun velocity out of those rounds with handloading. I would love to have a Rock Island .38 super in nickel, load some fast 147 gr. Gold Dots and be done with it. Check into the loadings for .38 super in 3n37. To quote the emperor from star wars "ULTIMATE POWER!"

Naw, 3n37 in .38 Special and 9x19. Really wakes up my treasury and metro replica loads (especially the 158 SWCLHP, doesnt lead if you keep velocity okay). 9x19? Thats self explanatory. Dry bang and high velocity numbers on the chrono, not to mention the most consistency ive seen in any powder I use. I just got a glock model 22, considering a .357 sig barrel :D. .357 sig and 3n37? Let teh fun begin!:D
