I keep reading on my various boards about the P2000SK being a great backup, and it seems that the majority of people carry a P2000SK as a BUG be it for duty or CCW. I am so impressed with the P2000SK, and I feel it is a great CCW gun (as long as it fits in your hands well, which in my case it does), which can be used for much more than a BUG. I have the .40 which holds 9 rounds, which is at least 1 more round than your standard 1911 magazine. The P2000SK is reliable, lightweight, rugged, and dependable with a respectable mag capacity, and the idea that it should be limited to a BUG baffles me. My normal carry gun is a USPf .45, and I do prefer the USP simply because its 45acp and slightly more accurate, but I would not hesitate to carry the P2000sk as a main carry gun, it too is plenty accurate for duty and CCW and .40S&W may not be .45, but its certainly nothing to laugh at.

I haven't put many rounds through the 'sk' but I do like the platform....as a matter of fact, I tend to be HK biased anyway. As a primary, I'd prefer something at least the size of the std P2000 or a USPc/USP for the added grip size & the longer sight radius.

for backup, I think it's fine. But for regular use, it's a little too small fo me, which is why I picked up the P2000 instead of the SK.
