I just talked to Kel-Tec and the OD green and gray grips are now available for the P3AT similar to the P32. Unlike the P32 they arent planing to offer the more unconventional colors like ivory or blue. Mine is on its way to be retrofited (at no charge since it was going back for repairs anyway...the assembly pin worked out and damaged the frame).

were those not big sellers or what?
i always like that little feature of kel-tec's design, you can't change the grip color on a glock and other polymer pistols because the grip is the frame, kel-tecs often have more character than other polymer pistols because of this. Dress it up to suit any occasion, etc. Perhaps they're afraid they can't build a reputation if the kel-tecs become of the favorite pistol of interior decorators and choreographers and not just leet mall ninjas?

If you mean hard chrome slides..they are also now avalable

Slightly OT - my olive-drab/chromed P32 just doesn't look like a real gun. It looks like a toy. I can see how that could be good, and I can see how that could be bad.

I would buy this combo again, though. My concerns about the downsides of it looking like a toy (an attractive thing for a kid to pick up and play with) are assuaged by the fact that it lives in the safe. I like the fact that it looks like a toy as far as sheeple are concerned - while it's pretty easy to hide, it's nice to have plausible deniability should anyone see it and be alarmed. "Oh, no! That's my nephew's cap pistol. He left it in my truck. I'm bringing it to his house this afternoon."

But, as I said, I don't really carry the P32 - I'm concerned about its stopping power.

Thanks,

Hard chrome is what I meant.

My HC P-32 has held up MUCH better than my blued P-11 which rusted pretty badly. I'm planning to have them do a slide swap on the P-11 for a HC slide soon. I've been waiting for the HC P-3ATs to come out before buying one.

Have you fired the chrome version? I wonder about the loss of white dots on those very small sights. Yeah, it's a nose gun, but in bright light, the slide might not seem to have any sights. Then again, in dim light, it might be just shiny enough to be aimed, sorta. What do you think?

They put fluorescent orange dots on the chrome slides. They have had chrome P-3AT slides/barrels for the slide swap recently but it would be best to call first, they're probably going quick. 800-515-9983.

In dim light, the KT's teensy sights aren't going to be of much help in any event. But the orange paint on the chromed sights of my P32 is a decent solution.

You can get aftermarket real sights (including night sights) put on these guns, btw, but I can't remember the company that's doing it. Seems like gilding the sow's ear (to mix metaphors) to me, but whatever you want to do.

I know how it is to want to make something "better" but when the Kel-Tec is in my back pocket, no one but me knows it's color. A stone-washed jeans color might work though:D

At one time ROBAR would do a front site Tritium thingy for the Kel-tec P-32 I dont know if they still do or not...

Stone wash jeans colored grips?? I had a customer ask me if I could make him a holster that had the same look as denim:D

Granted it wasnt hard to do, but WOW:D
