My new P3AT seems to now like hollow points so much, when I rack the slide slowly, it just doesn't feed into the champer unless I give it a little push.

I just used my dremel to polish up the feed ramp a bit and when I pull the slide back briskly and let it slam, it feeds fine but it seems a bit hesitant when I rack it slowly.

I just got it today and I went straight from a dealer to the range to get my CCW qualified with flawless 24 shots with FMJ but I'm a bit concerned about this hesitancy to feed with hollow points...I guess I'll try it out tomorrow at the range, but anyone with similar issue with hollow points??

It seems the Kel-Tec P-32 and P-3AT don't like all HP ammo. I found Winchester Silvertip ammo and Fiocchi HP ammo will feed fine in my pistols. You might want to try those two in your P-3AT.

I also personally carry a revolver for reliability.

Where do you live that you have to qualify with a handgun before you can carry it CCW? (Or are you a LEO which would explain the need to qualify your weapon for carry)

The one thing I have noticed about my Colt 1911 .45 acp is that when I shoot FMJ ammo it has been 100% reliable

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you mean ridding the slide, by "racking the slide slowly", then will this not cause feeding problems in a lot of guns? I have always been taught to pull the slide back then let it travel forward on its own.
