I love my P7M8, but it sure is one heavy pistol for carry. I'm used to carrying my Kahr Mk9 in a flimsy Bianchi IWB holster at the 12:00 position. Don't even need a proper gun belt for it. I also have a Milt Sparks IWB holster for the P7M8. It's pretty well made, but it's not meant for 12:00 carry. I'd also need to buy a good gun belt for it ($$$). Prolly just have to bite the bullet on that one.

I've read on Park Cities that Del Fatti and Alessi holsters are also good. Anyone have experience with those makers? Do they offer 12:00 holsters, or should I just get used to 4:00 carry?

TIA :)

VersaMax II. It is now almost 5 (geeze time flies) years old and still in great shape. It has just started to develop a good wear pattern so I am pleased. Great investment!

I had a beautiful Milt Sparks Executive Companion holster but didn't like leather so I went to a Blade-Tech UCH (ultimate concealment holster).

I like it.

Alessi and Delfatti are fantastic and you can't go wrong with either...I own both...I have an alessi CQC/S and a shoulder rig for the M8...but my choice for IWB is the Delfattis pictured below. the one on the left is the ISP-LP (similar to a Versa Max ll but with more leather under the muzzle to keep the short slide from biting your hip)...the other is the ISP-WR...a bit more compact but a hair thicker in the pants since it has a re-inforced mouth and the ISP-LP does not....the thumb break is an LP HTL. And yes, you should get used to 4:00 carry....it's the most natural draw and you can sit down. By the way isn't 12:00 right over your fly?

An old Milt SparksIWB for my PSP and a Wilderness Zip-slide for my M10. I've been very happy with the Zip-slide for carry and IPSC. People can't believe it works when they see it .

Nothing beats the Kytac Braveheart for the P7M8. The wait is worth it. (Yes, I've tried the VM-II and the CompTac Gurkha.)

Another vote for VM-2

I was hooked on VM-2's before I heard about Matt Delfatti's stuff over on the cult. I haven't tried an MDF rig - but I'd guess you wouldn't go wrong with one 'o them either.

The VM-2 hold the butt-heavy P7 perfectly. I'm never concerned about it shifting around or possibly falling out.

HTH,

Wow, you guys weren't kidding about the Milt Sparks Versa-Max II. I just took the plunge and ordered one, along with a belt. Took about eight weeks. The belt is twice as thick as I thought it'd be, and it is SOLID. The holster holds my P7M8 securely against my body at the 4:00 position. I could cover it with a T-shirt fairly effectively. Holster's still kinda tight, but hey, it's still new, eh?

Man, it was pricey ($180 for holster and belt), but now that I own one, I can appreciate why. Thanks for the recommendations. :)

hello

I might be crazy, but I prefer to carry my P7 with clipdraw(skyline toolworks).
Conceals better than any holster I've tried.
