Is that when the OP viewed the security guard as a "Rent a Cop" or was it after the guard's actions had demonstrated his professionalism?
I treat security guards with the same respect that I would treat a property owner, but they do not receive special deference just because they wear a uniform.
The school has its own guard who receives his paycheck directly from the school district. This was the guard I was expecting. When I saw the vehicle marked "detective agency", I knew right then it was a rent-a-cop. Some of you really need to lighten up about your job titles.
I'm pretty sure it's not a good idea to be on school grounds if there's not an official 'event' going on.
They may have been doing the Reno 911 thing on you, but they were hired to be on that property for a reason and you certainly had no business being there.
