^^^ Thanks! The PA resident renewal process is a pain. I have to go through requalification almost as if I'm a first timer - Even after 12 years of carrying!

Re "the PA renewal process being a pain", two parties responsible for that fiasco. One are the PSP/Coal and Iron Cops, those who gave us an ILLEGAL REGISTRY OF HANDGUNS, and The Stollenwerk Case, while the other is The Harrisburg Gang, otherwise known as The State Legislature, a group that likely would have failed English Composition 1, the basic course.

Last time I renewed my Carry License, the whole process took about 15 minutes. Now, due to PSP antics and the sloppy writing practices of the state legislature, renewers have to make TWO trips.

I'm absolutely certain that this routine greatly enhances The Public Safety, while it also protects Mother, Baseball, Apple Pie and The Virginity of The Girl Next Door. Of course, perhaps it doesn't. All I'm curious about is the mechanics of the process.

:) I particularly like annoying my neighbors with the mandatory 3 references thing. Like I haven't had a permit and been carrying for the past 10 years!

I fail to see the logic? Wouldn't THEY be among the very first to know if I'd done something wrong - Duh!

(And, yes, handguns are definitely automatically registered in Pennsylvania. You have to be blind not to recognize it.)
