Any recommendations on a paddle holster to carry my Colt Officers model? Are the Fobus plastic any good or any leather paddle recommendations

My Fobus OWB paddle has worked nicely with my Glock. However, it is difficult to conceal unless wearing a winter jacket or long overcoat.

the paddle part of the holster does cause the holster to stand off a bit more than a regular belt holster. jwr

I have Fobus holsters for many of my handguns. But like jwr said, I don't really like paddles because they tend to be bulky, stick out more, and be more likely to print.

I sometimes use a Fobus at the range and on rare occasions at home, but only for guns that I do not carry in public and for which I do not have a carry holster. I do not like Fobus for carrying otherwise.

I use the Fobus Paddle a lot because of its convenience on/off. I have used Fobus Paddle holsters for at least 10 years, and in spite of the horror stories I have not found any problems with them unless you happen to get one that is too tight.

I prefer it to Uncle Mike, and Galco as neither of those holds the gun as tightly against the body as the Fobus.

There is no question but that a good leather pancake holds the gun tighter against the body, and is more comfortable since there is no paddle. When I intend to wear one all day I wear the leather pancake, but for running to the store and back the Fobus Paddle works well for me. It conceals well for me under an untucked shirt.

Best,
Jerry

It's a matter of Conveneince..I carry my G-23 in a Fobus back and forth to work, and until recently uses a Pancake for Off-duty since the Fobus sticks out and priints Badly in most cases (Mine is a Roto, which is worse, it's wider because of the design) the standard paddles actually arent that bad. Just switched to a non-roto since i put a light on the Glock, and it Does ride a lot closer, and conceals better..That said i've seen WAY too many fobus rivets loosen up..not a big deal, but something to keep an eye on.
