Pics look good to me. If you like it, keep it. If you're having second thoughts try something else.

i painted it with krylon. they make a camo flat brown.

i am also trying to decided whether or not to paint the adaptor tube and hilt (by the pistol grip)......or just leave it "trimmed" as i did it.

i guess the main reason i painted the stock is because the stock looks a tad "sporty", and i wanted to rough it up a bit. next i am mounting a GG&G bottom "flat" rail (6"), and a tango down vertical grip.

i know the rifle looks funky in this setup, but i guess that's what im going for.

I think it looks awesome. If you do go another direction, make it look the same color as your cat. That would be a mean looking rifle.

I like it as is, but I'm a big fan of Krylon camo brown as well, along with black handguards.

good job.;)

If I ever decide to go with a pistol grip M14 type, the one you have would be the one.

The only thing I would add is more mags and ammo.

Note: Police up the cat prior to shooting. (lol)

I like it - it looks unique but not overly freakish/tacticool. A nice midpoint between old-school & hi-tech. Congratulations on a fine job!

i really like those vltor stocks but they sure aren't cheap. i also want to get the aimpoint with the ultimak rail, so i can co witness my irons on my bush model. btw that is one sweet looking set up.

A question for u Skipbow32?
Does the stock you have pictured weigh more, or less than a std synthetic stock, and how does it affect the overall balance of the rifle in comparison to a std stock?

Nice cat!

But seriously I like the brown. Judging by your background I would go with vertical "foggy" stripes of a lighter straw/dead grass color.

very cool. i wished i lived in free america.

cant put that on my rifle in PRK witout pinning the magazine and using 10 rounders. so i stick with the regualr rifel stock and use my 20s. but i really would like a side folder pistol grip on my socom or scout (bush) rifle. would make it super compact.

Fragout:

the stock weighs less than a regular synthetic stock. most of the weight is relieved in the rear so the balance is not as good. it is a tad front heavy, but not as bad if it were a sage stock.

the stock is still a project. it warrants a front grip (because of the forward weight) so that is next. i might add some side rails up front.
